An anchor through life's stormy sea

What better way to step into your 'happily ever after' than by sealing your union with the ultimate symbol of infinity? An anchor, by definition is “one that secures firmly in position”, or “provides a firm basis or foundation.”Sounds a heck of a lot like what we look for in our life-long partner, no? Some couples choose the anchor theme because they’re die-hard romantics who have a deep connection to the sea, while others want to anchor their love to the promise of forever. Take a look at some of the anchor inspired engagement rings our couples have come up with!

For the first ring in our lineup, the couple chose a pear shaped opal in a delicate rose gold bezel and band. Tiny anchors adorn the sides of the band right below a trio of small diamond side stones. And because our groom mentioned that the bride-to-be loved orchids, we finished off the design with a subtle orchid peekaboo in this ring of opal-goodness.

Featuring a lab-created diamond center stone, this bridal set has two tiara-shaped wedding bands all set in white gold. In the spirit of anchoring the relationship, this couple added a star and an anchor on either side of the center stone to commemorate their time in the army and navy.

This one-of-a-kind rose gold ring embodies power in simplicity. This couple chose a cushion cut lab-created diamond at the center accented by a diamond halo and diamond pave down the detailed rose gold band. This couple wanted an engagement ring that served as a personal reminder of their favorite things. To represent their love of the outdoors and travel, we snuck in a globe and anchor engraving on the sides of the band. Perfect ring for the explorer bride, no?.

For the last ring on our list, the couple decided to incorporate the theme by not only including anchors hugging the princess cut diamond, but using a nautical rope design to make up the band.
