This is a beautiful handmade Pennsylvania style blanket chest or keepsake box constructed of beautifully figured solid Cherry. Based on traditional American 18th century designs, it features all dovetailed construction, bracket feet, a lift out tiger maple tray and a top quality mortised lock with 2 keys. It is finished in an Antique Cherry dye stain and a satin lacquer finish that really makes the figure pop out and gives it a nice warm look and feel. Overall dimensions are roughly 21 1/4" long, 9 1/2" wide and 13" tall. Inside measurements are 18 5/8" long, 7 3/4" wide and 9 1/4" deep. The tray is 18 5/8" long, 7 5/8" wide and 2 5/8" tall.
