As an antique furniture conservator, I have been called on by museums and serious collectors to hand carve replacements for segments of antique furniture details that have been severely damaged or lost from the original furniture. I am frequently asked to hand carve cartouches and traditional designs on finials. I have studied with master carver, Wallace Gusler (Colonial Williamsburg, VA, 1986) and master carver Louis Spivak (Margolis Shop, Hartford, CT, 1969-70).
