The edges are all decorative routed and both pieces have been routed down the center with a cove bit. For easy and fast display of these very special crosses, they come with a preinstalled hanger on the back. As the name states, the wood that the crosses are made from came from trimming trees in Bethlehem Jerusalem. They only trim the trees once or twice a year thus making it very hard to obtain very large pieces, especially in length. No trees were damaged, harmed or destroyed in the process of trimming.
