Mission Style

Mission Style Hutch

This Mission Style hutch is made from Native Texas Pecan and book matched Figured Cherry veneer panels. The sides, back and doors are frame and panel construction. Joinery for the hutch is mortise and tenon. The base of the hutch is enclosed with Cherry veneer doors that include a marquetry veneer design of flowing grass. Solid Pecan with a routed edge is used to construct the top for the base. The upper half of the hutch is open front with two solid Pecan shelves. Handmade Pecan cove molding is used to accent the top of the upper half of the hutch.

Two coats of Shellac sanding sealer were applied followed by several coats of clear lacquer hand rubbed to a satin finish. The back of the hutch is completely finished so that it can also be used as a room divider if desired. Prices start at $2500.00

I would be delighted to build one for you! Size, wood type, finish and design can be your decision, I'll do the construction.
