Music Stand with Sitting Bench
Sculpted hardwood Myrtle and African Mahogany (Sapelle) sitting bench, inspired by the curves of the Coca Cola Wave. contemporary style designed in order to bring about an elegant merging of comfort and beauty and strength. Myrtle Wood bench has a hand rubbed poly and bees wax finish. Gallery quality, comfortable and elegant sitting bench is presently displayed in the Umpqua Arts Association Wood Show. It was custom made for a specialty show. This handcrafted sitting stool took approximately 45 hrs. to complete. The Oregon hardwood, Myrtle and the African Mahogany were hand picked for this piece which sells for $820. And coupled with this beautiful bench is the bold yet beautiful Myrtle wood and Oregon Black Walnut Music Stand. This music stand was designed with thought of the big band feel of Duke Ellington. Handcrafted adjustment mechanics ads a touch of mathematical precision to this grand expression in hardwood. Finely hand cut dovetail joinery marks the music tray with a strong contrast to the delicately curved legs of the stand. The feet of the stand are crafted form Oregon black walnut. Both pieces were hand crafted form a rare and unique piece of myrtle wood that shows spalting as well as curl and birds eye, with magnificent color and grain pattern. The hardwood music stand sells for $560.
