Sweet Gum Rocker

In looking for Red Gum (Eucalyptus that is) I came across lumber that was marked "Red Gum". No one was quite sure what kind of wood this was. As it turns out American Red Gum also known as Sweet Gum is in the Witch Hazel family and has nothing to do with Eucalyptus. Red Gum is a very beautiful wood, works very nicely and makes a very sweet rocker indeed. This rocker has flexible back slats made of Wenge from Central Africa and is strikingly beautiful and comfortable.
