Hand Carved Crucifix
from Shroud of Turin
This crucifix is hand carved basswood. The image and all the dimensions were taken from the Shroud of Turin. Many who have studied the Shroud were involved in the creation of this piece to ensure its' accuracy in every detail. First a life size clay model was created to allow flexability in adjusting the piece during creation to everyones satisfaction. Then the actual wood was prepared and carved to mirror the clay model.The Woodworking Studio is involved in many aspects of Religious works. From the design and construction of new Statuary, to Altars, Fonts, Crosses and Crucifixes and Architectural details in every style. We are also involved in the restoration of both plaster and wood statuary to preserve the spirit of the original artist.

The Woodworking Studio works with Architects, Designers, Churches as well as private homeowners. The scope of the work includes the design and hand carved execution of brackets, corbels, capitals, mantles, rangehoods and mouldings. The work also includes furniture, both for the home and Churches. Full size statuary is also offered.
