Arts-and-Crafts Style Desk
This traditional free-standing desk was designed and made for the "Home Library" shown on another gallery page. Plain and figured cherry was used in both. Each bank of 3 cherry drawer fronts was glued together in order to scuplt the trapezoid-shaped raised center section, then cut apart. The Rosewood corner inlay (see detail photo) combines a stylized bird with the owners last initial (W). The pulls are also solid Rosewood. Interior drawers and keyboard slide are walnut.
