Gallery pages

A gallery page is a "stand alone" page created for the display of one of your portfolio pieces. It will be linked from your listing via a thumbnail image.

The cost is just $20 each page or $15 each when submitting two or more at the same time. One photo per page. An extra photo of the same or related item on same page, $10 extra.

If you have high quality photos on your website I can grab them from there. Or if you have scans you can email them to me. I prefer to start with high quality JPGs a little larger than would go on a page with no cropping or editing unless you are very proficient in Photoshop. About 600 or 700 pixels in either direction or larger is the minimum I'd like to start with.

Or, you can snail mail prints, 35mm slides, or a CD. If you'd like your originals returned please include SASE.

Title: Give your page a title that makes sense to customers. Avoid fanciful titles or using the names of the original customer of an item. Good title "Art Nouveau Oak Armoire", Bad title "Ringporous Rhapsody for Rumpelstiltskin"

Description: Length of the description is very flexible but longer is usually better.

The description can include most anything you might say to a potential customer who is full of questions. The name of the item, materials, price, inspiration for the design, the style, paint or stain options etc. This helps search engines find your page as well as informing the customer. You can even include generalizations of your cabinetmaking philosophy or details which you wanted to include in your "generic" business description.

If you have multiple gallery pages avoid the temptation to cut and paste the same text. Customers won't be impressed and search engines may be penalizing the practice.

Each gallery page must have a unique description and Title for the item shown. Length of the description is flexible. Try to use a few "key words" describing the item as often as makes sense. The description can include most anything you might say to a potential customer who is full of questions. The name of the item, materials, price, inspiration for the design, the style, paint or stain options etc. This helps search engines find your page. Please send the descriptions in the body of an email.
